The Skyfarer was a starship owned by rebel captain Amilyn Holdo. The ship shared its name with[1] skyfaring, a Gatalentan tradition practiced by Holdo.[3] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[2] Holdo used the ship to take members of the Rebel Alliance to the planet Spira to take a break from the Galactic Civil War. Whilst on Spira, they took part in an auction for a Nihil strikeship to acquire its Path engine so they could find the lost Kezarat Convoy. After they eventually got ahold of the Path engine, Holdo installed it into the Skyfarer, and then inserted a garbled message from the Kezarat into the engine. As the rebels attempted to escape from a group of TIE fighters, the engine activated and transported the rebels to No-Space.[1] The ship was later destroyed[4] by the Nihil's killdroids at the Great Hall of the Nihil.[5]
