The Skynara system was located in the Outer Rim Territories' Skine sector and contained the celestial body Skynara. Situated in an area of space explored between 1000 BBY and 25 BBY, by 137 ABY the star system lay within the territory both controlled by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire and influenced by the Galactic Alliance Remnant.

Description[]

The Skynara system was a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Skine sector.[1] It contained the astronomical object of the same name and was situated at the endpoint of the hyperlane known as the Five Veils Route,[3] which linked it to the Elshandruu and Suarbi systems.[2]

History[]

By 137 ABY, the Skynara system lay within the area of influence of the Galactic Alliance Remnant.

Space surrounding the Skynara system was explored at some point between 1000 BBY and 25 BBY.[2] Shortly after the acquisition of the planet Ukio by the Commerce Guild during the Clone Wars, the Skynara system was featured on a galactic map displayed on a viewscreen at a facility run by Passel Argente, the Magistrate[4] of the Corporate Alliance.[5]

The population of the Skynara system around 25 ABY numbered between one and ten million. By 137 ABY, the system had been incorporated into the territory controlled by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. It also lay within the area of influence of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, a faction formed from the Galactic Alliance forces that had refused to surrender to the Fel Empire at the end of the Sith–Imperial War.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The Skynara system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square P-19.[2] The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic authored by Pablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com[4] over the span of the 2009[6]2010[7] second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series,[6] featured the first appearance of the system.[4]
