Slivian iron was a type of iron that that used as an conductor. It could be magnetised and was used in blaster and lightsaber construction. It was also used as a component in various speeder bike parts such as in a moll K-19T power generator, a Diffuse-Ion accelerator and modifying a repulsion blast coil.
In 14 BBY[4] the fugitive Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis acquired enough slivian iron to fashion a lightsaber hilt.[2] During 3 ABY[5] slivian iron was sold for ninety credits a unit throughout the galaxy including on planets Akiva, Kijimi, Tatooine, and the moon Toshara.[3] In 7 ABY[6] Lando Calrissian used a small block of slivian iron to rig a game of Vazaveer against Seven-Seven Dirgeos.[1]
