Slyther Bushforb[2] was a blue-skinned Nuknog that spoke animatedly with the Triffian[1] Oby Bobissia[2] outside[1] Dex's Diner in the CoCo Town district of the planet Coruscant[3] in 22 BBY.[4] After the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi entered the diner, Bushforb followed him in and then sat in a both with the Dugs[1] Rednax[5] and Seboca, the latter of whom was a holovid star.[3] The trio spoke until Seboca got up and left the diner, after which Bushforb and Rednax continued to converse. While at the diner, Bushforb wore a white shirt, a brown coat, brown pants, and black shoes.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Slyther Bushforb was created for the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones[1] on May 16, 2002.[6] The character was a redressed version of the animated model created for Ark Roose,[2] a character created for the 1999 prequel film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[7] Work on the animated shots in Dex's Diner was completed between April and May, 2001, with the finalized renders then completed over the summer.[8]
In the current Star Wars canon, Bushforb's name was confirmed by[2] Lucasfilm Story Group member[9] Pablo Hidalgo on Twitter on January 27, 2022.[2] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where Slyther Bushforb was revealed prior to the release of the film in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #46, an[10] March 7, 2002[11] issue published on the HoloNet News website as part of the marketing for the film.[10] The article was written by Hidalgo and Paul Ens.[12]
