The Snapping Septoid was an establishment located in the Uscru Entertainment District[1] within the underworld[2] of the ecumenopolis Coruscant. It was popular with members of methane-breathing species and swamp lovers. In operation during the Separatist Crisis, it was located directly across from the Outlander Club, a venue that catered mainly to oxygen-breathing humanoids. The Snapping Septoid shared its name[1] with septoids, venomous insects found on the planet Eriadu.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, the Snapping Septoid was first mentioned in "Coruscant Underworld," an article in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the twenty-sixth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[2] which released around July 1, 2015.[4] The venue originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #56,[5] a May 16, 2002,[6] issue published on the HoloNet News website[5] written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens.[7]
