The solar pike was a variant of Thyrsian pike used for ritual combat by the Sun Guard, a feared military unit and Sith cult from the planet Thyrsus that held the pike as a near-sacred weapon. Inherited from the Thyrsians' Echani cousins, the polearm was approximately one meter long and was wielded with two hands, providing the means to block incoming strikes and attack with the blades on either end of the pike. The solar pike featured conductive tips, which were activated through its grip controls and glowed red-hot.
