A sonic disruptor was a disruptor weapon used in the years following the Great Sith War.
Description[]
One of the most violent sonic weapons on the market, the sonic disruptor was outlawed by the Galactic Republic, even for use against the Sith. The sonic disruptor disintegrated its target, leaving few traces of a victim behind. Personal defenses such as energy shields were no match for this weapon; even a Jedi could not deflect sonic damage with a lightsaber.[1] Due to the massive energy requirements, the disruptor needed a few seconds to cool down between shots.
History[]
This weapon was carried by bounty hunting brothers Dob and Del Moomo.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords video game, the sonic disruptor was a rifle. But in the more recent Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide, it is classified as a pistol.
