Soomana was one of the four moons of the planet Rodia, located in the Tyrius system of the Outer Rim Territories' Savareen sector.[1] The moon was situated at grid square R-16 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]

Soomana was first mentioned in the Star Wars canon in the fifty-eighth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] published around February 10, 2016.[4] The moon was first mentioned in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Shadows of the Empire Planets Guide, a sourcebook for West End Games's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published in September 1996.[5]
