- "We could raise a glass in her memory. I have a bottle of Soulean brandy I've been meaning to open for quite some time."
- ―Dooku to Rael Averross, about Nim Pianna
Soulean brandy[2] was a type of brandy that could be consumed by Altiri and humans. At some point, the Jedi Master Dooku acquired a bottle of Soulean brandy.[1] In 42 BBY,[3] Dooku met with his former Padawan, the Jedi Rael Averross, in the Galactic Senate Building on the planet Coruscant. As they reminisced about the death of Averross' apprentice,[1] the Tholothian[4] Nim Pianna, from years before, Dooku suggested they imbibe his bottle of Soulean brandy in her honor. Averross declined, proposing Dooku share the beverage with his other close colleagues, the Jedi Lene Kostana and Sifo-Dyas.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Soulean brandy was mentioned in a flashback sequence in the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, written by Cavan Scott[1] and published on April 30, 2019.[5] The spelling of Soulean brandy was confirmed by the audio drama's script release[2] on October 1 of the same year.[5]
