Spider-droids,[2] also known as disc droids,[3] or disk droids,[4] were a model of droid used by the Scourge as a vector to corrupt other droids, assimilating them as part of the Scourge.[2]
History[]
Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[5] the Spark Eternal artificial intelligence merged with a disc-like spider-droid that had been locked away by the Sith in the Fermata Cage aboard the Amaxine Space Station, creating the Scourge, which infiltrated an Imperial Star Destroyer. Aboard, one spider-droid battled the mouse droid Petyr. Many spider-droids were subsequently created and placed within the chassis of mouse droids that were deployed across the galaxy, spreading the Scourge.[1]
