This Star Wars Legends article contains information from Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight that is affected by the Star Wars: The Clone Wars project.

The continuity of Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight was never established by Lucasfilm.

Spinsticks were a type of weapon that were viewed by some individuals as esoteric[1] by the year 19 BBY.[2] The weapons were utilized by some members of the Force-sensitive Gray Paladins—an offshoot of the Teepo Paladins—who were themselves a part of the Jedi Order. The Gray Paladins used weapons such as spinsticks to avoid relying on the Force or lightsabers, the traditional weapons of the Jedi.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Spinsticks were first mentioned in Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight, a 2008 novel written by Michael Reaves.[1] On March 11, 2011,[3] "Citadel Rescue," an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, retconned Jedi Master Even Piell's death to occur in the episode,[4] instead of the novel,[1] making it ambiguous how the events of the novel fit in with the altered continuity.
