A squad was generally a part of a larger military formation and consisted of a unit of soldiers or operators who had a specific mission or a distinct designation. In the Grand Army of the Republic, a squad was made up of nine clone troopers commanded by a clone sergeant, with a platoon consisting of four squads.[1] In the Stormtrooper Corps, a squad was made up of ten stormtroopers, with a platoon having five squads in it.[2]
