Publisher's summary[]

Commanded by Luke Skywalker, Rogue Squadron tangles with the Empire in the Outer Rim, but the young Jedi has more than Imperial TIE fighters to deal with. New recruit Myra Chimor just won't listen to orders. Can the hot-headed pilot learn how to fly as part of a team or will her need to go it alone lead to disaster? Cavan Scott joins Manuel Bracchi for the beginning of a two-part X-wing adventure, "SQUAD GOALS"!

Continuity[]

The original solicitations named the hot-headed new recruit featured in the story as Myra Chimor. In the final comic, however, the character was instead named Ibti Myrak.

  2. "Squad Goals, Part One" features Rogue Squadron being commanded by Luke Skywalker. Star Wars: The Rebel Files and "Rendezvous Point" — From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back establish that Wedge Antilles replaced Luke as commander after the Battle of Hoth. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the founding of Rogue Squadron to 1 ABY and the Battle of Hoth to 3 ABY "Squad Goals, Part One" takes place in between those two years.
