The Star Runner was a YT-2400 light freighter used by the Wookiee Chewbacca and copiloted by the droid TC-38, It was used by Jedi Master Mavra Zane's Padawans to escape from the planet Kashyyyk, which was assaulted by Trandoshan forces. The Star Runner was subsequently used by them to travel to Felucia and Coruscant in an attempt to stop the Commerce Guild's plan of using the deadly trihexalon gas to poison the Galactic Republic capital.
It was equipped with two gunners on the top and bottom, similar to the Millenium Falcon. These guns were powerful enough to blast through V-wings in one shot. It also had an advanced hyperdrive, which had to be repaired during the ship's escape from Kashyyyk.
