Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular was a Star Wars-themed fireworks display shown regularly at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. It included fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects, music from the films and video projections on buildings. It ended with a "tower of fire" and spotlight beams, creating a lightsaber in the sky.[1]

History ‡[]

The show debuted June 17, 2016, replacing the Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show that had been shown in various forms and at certain park events starting in 2010 before a regular run between December 18, 2015, and June 2016.[2] A later version of the new show featuring elements from Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi debuted December 16, 2017[3], and a January 1, 2020 update included Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.[4]

The show ran until Walt Disney World's closure on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the resort opened later that year the fireworks show did not return.[5] The show's page was finally removed from the resort's website in July 2022.[6]
