Star Wars: A Musical Journey: Episodes I-VI is a book of sheet music published by Alfred Publishing Co. in 2007. Several editions of the book were created. The piano solo edition contained 17 piano arrangements of John Williams's scores for Star Wars films, as well as the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" by Alfred Newman. The easy piano edition, arranged by Dan Coates, only had 15 arrangements.

In addition to the piano sheet music, Alfred Publishing later released a series of educational editions for various instruments containing different song selections. These instructional editions were arranged by Bill Galliford, Ethan Neuburg, and Tod Edmondson, and included CDs or online access to professional demo recordings of each track plus play-along tracks. The software allowed musicians to slow the tempo of pieces without compromising pitch, which helped facilitate learning. These solo instrumental editions were made for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, horn in F, trombone, violin, viola, and cello, with an additional piano accompaniment edition that came with a CD. The string editions also had piano accompaniment incorporated into the sheet music. These books were aimed towards what Alfred considered level 2–3 learners.

Instrumental Solo editions

The instrumental solo editions contained arrangements that were compatible with one another and could be played together or as solos. That said, due to considerations over keys and instrument ranges, the wind instrument arrangements and string instrument arrangements were incompatible with one another. The books also contained 4-color art and black and white art from the films. In addition to the arrangements, demo tracks, and play-along tracks, the wind instrument editions contained a play-along track with a tuning note to B♭ Concert. The included songs were as follows:
