Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy is a pop-up book by Matthew Reinhart, releeased by Scholastic on October 15, 2007. Based on the original Star Wars trilogy, the book contains 37 pop-ups within 6 spreads, and a limited-edition cloth-bound release of 500 has been released containing a sound chip and an extra collectible pop-up built into its cover. Matthew Reinhart has been a dedicated fan, reader and collector of Star Wars since he was 7 years old, and wanted to pay tribute during the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. True as possible to Star Wars canon, Reinhart illustrates the book in an intricate cut-paper collage from handmade papers.

The first spread details important locations of the galaxy, including pops of Tatooine, Bespin, Endor and the Death Star, while the central pop is a massive AT-AT stomping over the Rebels at Echo Base.

The second spread details aliens and creatures, including pops of Chewbacca, Greedo, Jawas, Tauntauns, Tusken Raiders, Mynocks and the others, while the central pop is a ferocious rancor, holding a Gamorrean guard in one claw and slashing at the reader with the other.

The third spread details vehicles, including pops of the TIE/LN starfighter, T-65 X-wing starfighter, Star Destroyer and the others, while the central pop is an 3-D paper sculpture of the Millennium Falcon.

Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy received attention in the national media when US president Barack Obama purchased the book for his press secretary's son.[2][3]
