Star Wars: Ask Yoda is a game developed by Amplified Games and published by THQ Wireless for mobile phones exclusively through Cingular on April 2, 2005.
Gameplay[]
Players can watch Yoda do various things, interact with him or ask him various questions, similar to a Magic 8-Ball. The game's appearance is based on the Star Wars: Clone Wars series.[1]
Yoda can be seen doing various daily activities, like eating, training, cooking and meditating, with different behaviors every day, including giving special messages on Star Wars holidays. If the player asks him a question (e.g. Star Wars-related), he is interrupted, and can provide one of about 220 lines of dialogue.[1]
Development[]
The game was initially developed for Flash Lite in one or two days, while the J2ME version took months to complete.[2] The game was praised, holding an 8.3/10 on GameSpot based on 22 ratings. Stephen Palley covered the game, praising the "practically larger than life" experience and was amused by Yoda's aerobics routine with his walking stick.[1]
