Star Wars: Movie Heroes was a Star Wars toy line produced by the Hasbro company. Beginning in 2012, with Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, each film in the entire saga was represented with new toys, including basic figures, Battle Packs (and other figure multi-packs), Class I fleet vehicles, Class II assault vehicles, and roleplay toys.
The action figure line consisted of 'repackaged' classic figure from the past and newly-produced figures with oversized 'action' accessories. The Movie Heroes line included characters from all movies in the Star Wars saga.
Discover the Force[]
An associated series, dubbed "Discover the Force," was offered exclusively at Walmart stores in early 2012; it included action figures, battle packs, and vehicles specifically chosen from The Phantom Menace. This promotional sub-line was issued to celebrate the 3D re-release of the film on January 30th, 2012. Each of 17 products featured special packaging that showed a printed 3D movie scene created using the enclosed toy(s), and viewable with included paper glasses.
Continuity[]
This toy line's Ewok Pack was notable for first providing the names for two Ewoks seen in Return of the Jedi: Flitchee and Nanta—the character whose death was prominent in the film. The same pack also included the first figure since 1985 for Ewoks cartoon character Kneesaa, who appeared in few Legends sources beyond that series, and Tippet, who only previously appeared in two issues of Marvel's Star Wars comic series.
