Star Wars: Reign of the Empire is a novel trilogy which takes place between the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and is set in the first years of the Galactic Empire's reign, focusing on Mon Mothma, Saw Gerrera, and Bail Prestor Organa. The first novel, The Mask of Fear, was written by Alexander Freed and published on February 25, 2025. The second and third will be written by Rebecca Roanhorse and Fran Wilde respectively and published in Spring 2026 and 2027.
