The story was written by Henry Gilroy, head writer for the first season of the animated television series, and Steven Melching, who contributed several scripts to the show. The arc ran for three issues from November 11, 2009 to January 6, 2010.
Plot summary
Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight and hero of the Republic, is challenged by a fledgling hero of the Confederacy...
The Confederacy is being provided with newer and more advanced ships from Valahari-a world whose royal family has claimed neutrality in the Clone Wars. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are dispatched to negotiate for the Republic; but as events unfold and Anakin is framed for a dishonorable act, diplomacy give way to War.
