In Service of the Republic was the second story arc of the comic book series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The story was written by Henry Gilroy, the head writer for the first season of the show, and Steven Melching, who wrote several episodes of the television series. The arc ran for three issues from July 15, 2009 to September 16, 2009.
Plot summary
Jedi Kit Fisto and Plo Koon are sent on a mission with a squad of Republic commandos to free the Khormai people and destroy the Separatists' icy mountain fortress, but the weather, a cowardly Republic captain, and the coming of a feared assassin threaten the success of their mission.

Behind the scenes
CC-3636 "Wolffe" receives an eye injury from Asajj Ventress during the arc. This event would carry over to the The Clone Wars television series, where Wolffe appeared in the episode Holocron Heist with the same injury.[2] Two action figures based on Plo Koon and Kit Fisto wearing their cold weather gear from this arc where released in 2011.[3][4]
