The Star Wars: The Clone Wars novel series encompasses the Star Wars Legends stories The Clone Wars: Wild Space by Karen Miller and The Clone Wars: No Prisoners by Karen Traviss, respectively published by Del Rey on December 9, 2008 and May 19, 2009. The two novels tie in to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series and chronologically follow the novelization of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film.
Development[]
The Clone Wars: Wild Space and The Clone Wars: No Prisoners respectively represent the second and third of five novels overall published by Del Rey as tie-in stories to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series. They chronologically fall between the novelization of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and the two-part Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit series.
Originally, authors Karen Miller and Karen Traviss planned on alternating writing duties, with Traviss penning three of the five tie-in novels, but Miller was later contracted to write the fifth and final story, Clone Wars Gambit: Siege, rather than Traviss, who had a very busy writing schedule. The Clone Wars: No Prisoners proved to be Traviss's penultimate Star Wars novel.

The rest of the clone wars books will be new stories, set in the the same era. Some may key off events of a particular episode, some may not."
