Star Wars: The Force Awakens—The Official Visual Story Guide is a magazine companion to Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens that was released on March 20, 2016. The magazine retells the events of The Force Awakens through exclusive stills from the film, interviews with cast and crew members, and an exclusive look at the concept art for the film.[2]
Features[edit | edit source]
- Inside the Lucasfilm Ltd. art archive—sticker concepts, character illustrations, retro posters, ship blueprints and more!
- Detailed scene breakdowns
- In-depth profiles
- Game-changing facts you might have missed
Continuity[edit | edit source]
In spite of the Lucasfilm Story Group's announcement that licensed material published after April 25, 2014, should be deemend canon, Story Group creative executive Pablo Hidalgo has implied that this magazine is an exception.[3] Furthermore, the magazine is not always internally consistent: page 64 states that Kylo Ren founded the Knights of Ren, while page 8 correctly[source?] states he joined the Knights.
