- "Sculpting Luke's journey from Empire to Jedi was always a big part of the job on this book, and this story was key."
- ―Charles Soule
Star Wars: The Sith and the Skywalker is the ninth story arc in the 2020 comic series Star Wars by Charles Soule,[5] who described the story as critical to Luke Skywalker's growth between the events of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[4] Set after series' eighth story arc, the Star Wars: Dark Droids crossover event,[6] and following up on events set up by Star Wars issue 35,[7] The Sith and the Skywalker begins with the events of Star Wars 42[5] and ends with the subsequent issue 43.[8]
