Star Wars: Unlimited is a trading card game by Fantasy Flight Games. It released in 2024 with Spark of Rebellion.[3] Designers include Danny Schaefer, Tyler Parrot, and Jeremy Zwirn.[6]

Development[]

Development of the game started in mid 2020,[3] with Danny Schaefer serving as lead game designer.[4] Schaefer and fellow designer Jim Cartwright started with the idea of a Star Wars themed trading card game that was both fun and accessible. After testing numerous different ideas for game design, the basic structure of the game coalesced into several core ideas such as the game's resource system, the idea of a deck with a leader, and the space and ground arenas.[7] Senior game designers[4] Jeremy Zwirn and Tyler Parrot where brought into the game during the development of the game's first set, Spark of Rebellion.[7]

Formats[]

There are many different formats to the game Unlimited. There is the main constructed format called Premier, and limited formats, which include draft and sealed play. Additionally, there is a multiplayer format called Twin Suns.[8]
