It was originally released in 1995 by Kellogg's as an Apple Jacks promotion. The comic was obtained through the mail, it was not included in Apple Jacks cereal boxes. It was republished by Dark Horse Comics in 1998 as an appendix to the Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron: Battleground: Tatooine (TPB) trade paperback, in 2006 as part of the Star Wars Omnibus: X-Wing Rogue Squadron Volume 2 collection, and in 2016 in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The New Republic Vol. 2.
