Ki-Adi-Mundi's first assignment after joining the Jedi Council will take him back to the fearsome deserts of Tatooine! The Jedi Council has tracked a long-wayward and powerful Jedi to the backwater world, and it's up to Ki to find him and convince him to return. Unfortunately, not only does he not want to return, but a powerful enemy has the Jedi in her sights, and a blaster bolt can travel a long way across the desert flats of Tatooine!
Plot summary[]
Rumors are flying around the Tatooine desert of Tusken uprisings, led by a single, uniting warchief. Everyone is on alert and buying a weapon, and the Jawas are unloading their antique "slug-throwers" quickly. Back on Coruscant, the Jedi Council studies surveillance of a Tusken attack, identifying the Tusken warchief as wayward Jedi Master Sharad Hett. The council decides to send newly appointed Master Ki-Adi-Mundi to appraise the situation on Tatooine. Meanwhile, the Dark Jedi bounty hunter Aurra Sing has been hired by local authorities to apprehend Hett.
