THE ESCAPE
Part VI
Queen Trios' betrayal has left the heroic Rebel
Alliance scattered and at the mercy of the evil
Galactic Empire!

While stranded on the isolationist moon of Hubin,
Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo
proved themselves to the leader of the colony, the
former mercenary Thane Markona, and the warriors
of his clan have joined the fight against the Empire.

But the Thane fell to blasters of the elite
stormtroopers of SCAR Squadron. And the rebels
only narrowly escaped thanks to the help of
Markona's daughter, Tula. The future of the
Rebellion still hangs by a thread....

Raiding Novka[]

Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker travel with Clan Markona on Scar Squadron's stolen Imperial landing craft to the Imperial Impound Yard on Novka. Unable to produce the right clearance code, the rebels ream their shuttle into the clearance tower, knocking it out of action.

With one wing damaged, the rebels and Clan Markona and their shuttle in the impound yard, eliminating the stormtrooper sentries in a brief gun battle. Sana Starros recovers her impounded ship Volt Cobra while Clan Markona boards a stolen YT-2400 light freighter.

Onward to Brentaal IV[]

On Brentaal IV, C-3PO, Han, Leia, Luke, and R2-D2 meet with the Herglic information broker Qensog, who speaks a rare dialect of Huttese. C-3PO speaks with Qensong who initially reacts with anger but C-3PO is able to calm him down and look him straight. Qensong gives the coordinates to the Alliance Fleet to C-3PO.

Skywalker, who doesn't understand Huttese, initially thought that Qensog was being difficult. However, C-3PO clarifies that the Herglic was entirely helpful on that matter but disagreed over whether he should supply them with replacement leg plates. C-3PO says that he had to insist as a LOM-series protocol droid returns with several silver leg plates.

Later, Skywalker tells Tula that her and his group are heading to meet with Admiral Ackbar and Home One. He provides the Markonas with the coordinates of General Hera Syndulla's ship Geist. Skywalker invites the Markona Clan to come with them to Ackbar but Tula is still upset that Skywalker and his friends indirectly caused the deaths of her father Markona.

While realizing that Skywalker is not to blame for her father's death, she cannot look at Skywalker without being reminded by the loss of her father. Before leaving, she tells Skywalker that she is glad that they kissed but that it is their last kiss without regret. Sensing that Skywalker is hurt by the break-up, Solo reassures him that it could have been much worse.

Skywalker says that it could have been but expresses relief that Tula is not like Dr Aphra. Starros is surprised that Luke had feelings for Aphra, remarking that Skywalker is lucky that guys and Aphra do not mix. She quips that Skywalker survived one Death Star and should not wish for another.

Homecoming[]

Traveling on the Volt Cobra to the Kaliida Nebula, the rebels initially see no sign of the Home One. Skywalker fears that they have stumbled into a trap while Han wonders if C-3PO picked a fight with the Herglic. Leia tells Han to calm down as he broadcasts the transponder code to the Home One.

After a brief delay, they hear Admiral Ackbar's voice on the comlink as Home One exits the nebula. Ackbar is relieved to learn that Leia and her friends have survived the assault on the Mako-Ta Space Docks. Leia is relieved that they have found the rebel fleet. The Volt Cobra lands inside the Home One's hangar where Han is greeted by Chewbacca.

Chewbacca reveals that he and the engineer Meorti have been repairing the Millennium Falcon following the events at Mako-Ta. Han is initially annoyed that Chewbacca allowed a stranger to repair his ship but warms up to Chewie, telling him that he missed him while fingering his chance cube.

Meanwhile, Admiral Ackbar is delighted that Princess Leia survived in the face of their recent setbacks. Leia tells Ackbar that she has acquired several technical documents that will allow them to destroy Shu-Torun. Ackbar is uncomfortable with the idea of Leia diverting rebel forces to pursue a personal vendetta against Queen Trios. Leia explains that this is a small-scale sabotage mission and that taking out the planet will deal a blow to the Imperial ecnomy. When Ackbar asks how she is going to carry out this plan, Leia responds "with a plan they're never going to expect."

Imperials on Hubin[]

Back at the late Thane Markona's Estate on Hubin, Sergeant Kreel asks his men if the perimeter is secure. Misty reports that they have managed to keep the thanraxes at bay, shooting a lone thanrax taking its chance. Zuke jokes about riding out to teach the creatures a lesson.

Kreel asks Aero if he has made progress in manufacturing a transmitter. Aero replies that most of the parts are fakes and thinks that someone is playing games with them. Kreel thinks that the butler droid MK-1 is too friendly. "Mic" informs Kreel that he sliced into their computers and discovered that the rebels are planning to attack Shu-Torun.
