- "DOOKU has never looked more like Dracula!"
- ―Script description of a scene
Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle 2 is the second issue of the comic book miniseries Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle. The comic was written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Derek Charm and Kelley Jones, and released on October 10, 2018 by IDW Publishing.
Development[]
Writer Cavan Scott originally thought about parodying Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein, but ultimately decided to parody Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, given that Count Dooku actor Sir Christopher Lee was best known for playing Count Dracula in several Hammer films.[4]

- ↑ Cavan Scott on the Ghoulactic Horrors of Tales from the Death Star on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle takes place around the time of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the events of which are dated to 1 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines. Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle must take place after the story told by Thom Hudd in Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle 4, which Star Wars Outlaws, dated to 3 ABY by Visit a Galaxy Far, Far Away with our Star Wars liveblog direct from San Diego Comic-Con 2024! on www.thepopverse.com (archived from the original on August 5, 2024), refers to as having recently occurred. The appearance of Darth Vader in Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle 5 means the series must also take place before Vader's death at the Battle of Endor, dated to 4 ABY by Timelines, placing Return to Vader's Castle around c. 3-4 ABY.
- ↑ Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle 2 takes place during the Clone Wars, which ended in 19 BBY according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. Furthermore, Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition places Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle 2 after the events of "Nomad Droids," which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 20 BBY. As Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle 2 takes place after "Nomad Droids" but before the end of the Clone Wars, it must take place some time between 20 BBY and 19 BBY.
