The Star Wars App is a mobile app officially published by The Walt Disney Company for Android and iOS.
Description[]
The app acts as a portal to official content about Star Wars, including trailers and news about upcoming releases. The user interface can be themed as a droid, light, or dark side of the Force. Weather forecasts are provided of in-universe planets along with daily posts about This Day In Star Wars History. Users can also apply costumes and backgrounds to their selfies.[1]
Release history[]
The iPhone app was released through Apple's App Store on July 8, 2015 and presently requires iOS 11 or later.[1]
Force Trainer[]
The Force Trainer is a mini-game within the app in which players have to fend off blaster bolts from a training droid. The mini-game uses the phone's camera to project the training droid into the player's environment using augmented reality. The player must follow the droid with the camera and turn the phone in the direction from which the blaster bolt is coming. There are a total of 25 levels, which are divided into four different difficulty levels and a tutorial level.
