- Front cover - Luke Skywalker engages Darth Vader in a lightsaber duel on Cloud City.
- Snow - Luke Skywalker rides a tauntaun through the snowy wastes of Hoth.
- Run - Luke Skywalker runs from Imperial walkers during the Battle of Hoth.
- Teacher - Yoda sits in a leafy field on Dagobah.
- Force - Luke Skywalker trains with Yoda, levitating a rock while balancing Yoda on a single foot, as R2-D2 watches.
- Friend - Han Solo greets Lando Calrissian, accompanied by Leia Organa, C-3PO and Chewbacca.
- Foe - Han Solo and Leia Organa are brought before Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
- Kiss - Escorted by stormtroopers, Leia Organ and Han Solo share a kiss.
- Frozen - Han Solo is frozen in carbonite.
- Dark - Shrouded in darkness, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader continue their duel on Cloud City.
- Father - Darth Vader reveals to Luke Skywalker that he is his father.
- No! - Luke Skywalker, blood on his face, protests that Vader's assertion cannot be true.
- Goodbye - Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, C-3PO and R2-D2 observe space from the Millennium Falcon.
- Back cover - Darth Sidious tells Darth Vader that there is a great disturbance in the Force and Vader replies that he has felt it.
