Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a micro-series that retells key moments from the Star Wars franchise in bite-sized, animated form. The child-oriented series debuted on StarWarsKids.com and YouTube on November 30, 2018.

Join Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Yoda, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and more in Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures, a new series of animated shorts celebrating the galaxy far, far away![4]

Release and reception[]

The series was the kickoff to the Galaxy of Adventures brand and a year-long storytelling initiative that culminated with the release of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. In addition to the main series, there have been three compilation videos released for the Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Han Solo shorts. An additional set of episodes was released in 2020, focusing on the sequel trilogy era.[5]

A line of Hasbro toys was released, initially as Walmart exclusives, in December 2018.[1] with a second wave arriving in fall 2019.[6] In May 2019, a promotional video entitled "Adventure Awaits", a montage of clips from previous episodes, was released on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.[7]

In mid August, episodes from the series were shown at 2019's D23.[8]

An online video game Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures: Fearless Flyers was released using the same style of artwork as Galaxy of Adventures.

On March 13, 2020, the This Week! in Star Wars host Kristin Baver announced that Lucasfilm would be releasing a new season of Galaxy of Adventures on its Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.[9]
