Star Wars Technical Journal of the Imperial Forces, also styled as Star Wars Technical Journal Vol. 2, was the second of three volumes in The Official Star Wars Technical Journal magazine series from Starlog Communications International, Inc. It was published in July 1994. The three issues were later compiled into the compendium title Star Wars Technical Journal.
In 1996, to celebrate the upcoming release of The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition, Starlog reprinted all three volumes of the Technical Journal as "Special Edition" versions. Each Special Edition volume came in a sealed poly bag along with bonus content in the form of an eight-page gatefold supplement.
A German language version was also released in 1996 by Modern Graphics Distribution.[3]
