- "I am taking them…to imprison them. In prison."
- ―K-2SO
A prison, also known as a detention block or a jail, was a place where individuals were incarcerated. The Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft was made to guard the prison moon Oovo 4.[2] The Galactic Republic operated a high-security prison on the planet Coruscant.[3] During the Rebellion era, there were a thousand Imperial prisons in the galaxy[4] including the labor camp[5] on the moon[6] Narkina 5,[5] the Spire fortress on the planet Stygeon Prime[7] and the Arrth-Eno Custodial Complex[8] on the capital planet[9] Coruscant.[8] The Galactic Empire's Death Star had a detention block where Governor Wilhuff Tarkin held Princess Leia Organa until she was rescued by Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca.[10] The Empire also maintained a secret prison known as the Crypt on the outer reaches of the Anoat system.[11] The Canto Bight police headquarters was home to the largest jail on Cantonica.[12]
