The IPV-2C Stealth Corvette, a prototype stealth ship used during the Clone Wars.

Stealth ships were starships equipped with cloaking devices or other stealth technology to remain hidden.[1] During the Naboo Crisis, Sith apprentice Darth Maul flew the stealth ship Scimitar.[2] Early in the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic fielded[1] the IPV-2C Stealth Corvette,[3] a prototype stealth ship, at the Battle of Christophsis.[1] The Carrion Spike, Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's personal corvette, was based on the Stealth Corvette and thus had a state-of-the-art cloaking device.[4]
