Steve Binder (born December 12, 1932) is the credited director of The Star Wars Holiday Special. He replaced David Acomba, who left during the middle of the production because of "artistic differences." One scene directed by Binder was the cantina sequence with Bea Arthur and Harvey Korman.[1]
An Emmy Award-winner,[2] Binder has been working in television since the 1960s. He has directed TV specials featuring musicians such as Liza Minnelli, Elvis Presley, Mac Davis, Barry Manilow, Olivia Newton-John, and Diana Ross.
