Stormsnipers, also known as stormtrooper snipers, were elite stormtroopers specialized in the use of sniper rifles. They distinguished themselves from other stormtroopers by wearing blue or white pauldrons over their right shoulder.[1][2]
During the Galactic Civil War, multiple garrisons of Stormtrooper Snipers were stationed on the planets such as Ord Mantell, Coruscant and even Super Star Destroyers such as the Executor.[2] They could also be found patrolling cities on Naboo and Corellia, including Kaadara and Bela Vistal.[1]
Equipment[]
As their name suggests, Stormtrooper Snipers received special training in the use of sniper rifles, their main weapon being the RT-97C heavy blaster rifles.[2] They also carried Baradium-core code key thermal detonators as part of their equipment, though they did not use them in battle.[2]
The Stormtrooper Snipers' armor was basic stormtrooper armor, albeit slightly stronger and more durable.[2]
