A strike-vulture[2] was a type of vulture that the Force-sensitive Dathomirian Asajj Ventress believed were the only birds found on[1] the planet[3] Rattatak. They were known to strip bones clean on the planet's dust plains.[1]
In 23 BBY,[4] Ventress, after being freed by Count Dooku from the criminal Osika Kirske and transported to the planet Serenno, realized she was not on Rattatak anymore as she heard birds that were not strike-vultures singing.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Strike-vultures were mentioned in the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, written by Cavan Scott[1] and published on April 30, 2019.[5] As Dooku: Jedi Lost was released as an audio-only story, the spelling of strike-vultures remained unconfirmed[1] until it was given in the script release of the audio drama[2] on October 1, 2019.[5]
