Stun pistol

While most blasters could switch between lethal settings and stun settings, stun pistols were exclusively meant to be used as a form of nonlethal crowd control. When fired, a stun pistol emitted a glowing blue arc that could immobilize an organic target, but caused no damage to inanimate objects.
