Stygeon was a snowy, mountainous planet that was home to a secret Separatist prison.[1] Dark Lord of the Sith Sidious imprisoned his former apprentice Darth Maul after his excursion as a crime lord. Maul escaped with the help of his Mandalorian super commandos.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Stygeon first appeared in the first issue of the Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir miniseries,[1] released on May 21, 2014.[2] Prior to the comic's release, it was mentioned in the Blaster segment of 149th issue of Star Wars Insider,[3] April 22, 2014.[4] Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, indicated in March 2023 that Stygeon was validated for a future update of The Essential Atlas Online Companion.[5]
