The Subjugator-class heavy cruiser was a model of heavy cruiser used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. They were equipped with two mega-ion cannons on either side. The Malevolence was a member of this class. Throughout the war, the Separatists maintained a small number of ships of the class.

The Subjugator-class heavy cruiser was a type of 4,800 meter-long vessel manufactured by Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was four times longer than a Galactic Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer, had an internal train system for the movement of troops and supplies, and was crewed by 900 battle droids. The Subjugator-class was armed with 500 turbolasers, five point-defense laser cannons,[3] and two mega-ion cannons, which were considered to be superweapons by the Alliance to Restore the Republic years later, and were located on the port and starboard sides.[6]
It had a speed of 1,050 kilometers per hour, was equipped with a Class 2 hyperdrive, sixteen engines, a sensor array, and a command tower at the stern of the vessel.[3] The Subjugator-class could carry squadrons of vulture droid starfighters[5] as well as Droch-class boarding ships.[4]
History
The Malevolence served as the flagship of General Grievous during the Clone Wars, although it was destroyed at the Battle of the Kaliida Nebula.[7] Despite this, the Confederacy of Independent Systems maintained a small number of Subjugator-class heavy cruisers.[8]
