Nib Assek favored the Sunburris cascade maneuver.
The Sunburris cascade was a demonstration starfighter maneuver known to the Jedi Order. It was a favorite of Jedi Knight Nib Assek, who led a drift of Jedi Vector starfighters in performing the cascade during the opening ceremony of the Valo Republic Fair[1] around 231 BBY.[2] Jedi Master Stellan Gios observed the flyby with Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh and her retinue, wishing he were with the Jedi performing it, who, besides Assek herself, included her Padawan Burryaga Agaburry, Knight Mikkel Sutmani, and Master Kunpar Vasivola of the Valo Temple. After the flyby, visiting Togruta Regasa Elarec Yovet applauded the demonstration.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Sunburris cascade appeared in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott.[1] It shares its name with the Star Wars Legends character Crix Sunburris, a Jedi Master and ace pilot who was mentioned in the 2010 reference book The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, written by Daniel Wallace.[3]
