Plot summary[edit | edit source]

Long ago and far away, a man reckoned he'd gotten away with murder. But not just one murder.

Two guards posted on a temple are overseeing the area and watching for potential intruders. They see a Human emerge from the jungle and head toward the long thin bridge leading to the temple. They assume he's a bounty hunter and decide to watch his progress as he walks toward the temple.

The man begins walking carefully over the thin bridge as the guards consider the fact that Uda-Khalid leaves no witnesses or survivors and the idea that this bounty hunter has come to his temple is an impossibility. It is then that Walk worms emerge from the sides of the bridge and attempt to attack the bounty hunter, who breaks into a run and jumps high out of the reach of the worms. He then flings off his hat and the portion of the bridge that the worms are on collapses.

The guards decide this must be a very expensive bounty hunter. They then turn and cannot see the bounty hunter anywhere. Then they realize he is behind them and they pull their guns out on him. But the bounty hunter simply raises his hand, and the guards return to scouting the outside area of the temple. The Bounty Hunter heads inside.

Inside Uda-Khalid tells him that he could double whatever the hunter was paid. The bounty hunter tells him that he has been paid with the story of what Khalid did. Khalid tells him it isn't true, as there were no survivors, no witnesses. As he says that several apparitions appear behind the bounty hunter and he asks "none?"

Mace defeats Uda-Khalid.

He tells Khalid that "no one ever gets away with murder" and announces himself as "Mace Windu Jedi Knight." Khalid simply says "it has been a long time since I killed a Jedi" and he activates an energy weapon. He attacks Mace who blocks his attacks and then stabs him in the chest.

Mace tells him that he lied as he had never killed a Jedi or Mace would have known about it. He also says that the victims were wrong about Khalid. "It was a small target, but you did have a heart after all."

Khalid falls over dead on the ground.
