The Switchback was a cargo hauler owned by Chancey and Sylvestri Yarrow, the latter of whom inherited it after Chancey's death in a Nihil attack. Other crew members included Neeto Janajana and M-227. Sylvestri was forced to abandon the starship after it was captured by the Nihil in the Berenge sector, in an attack which revealed they had the ability to force ships out of hyperspace.[1]
