"Symponika Crunchen-Grand" was a symponik—a historical work of music—that recounted the formation of the Gungan Grand Army. It was composed sometime just prior to 32 BBY by the famous male Gungan Beezar Pert, conductor of the Great Municipal Band, the group of musikagungs that performed the piece.[1] Pert's apprentice, Augara Jowil, was one of the first to hear the composition performed.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

"Symponika Crunchen-Grand" was first mentioned in the Databank entry "Augara 'Augie' Jowil," which was written by Hyperspace member Chad Finke on StarWars.com via the website's feature "What's The Story?."[1] The piece later received a mention in Jowil's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia entry.[2]
