A System Cell was a type of secret four to twenty–person unit that was established by the Galactic Empire throughout its territory. System Cells operated under the Sector Plexus branch of Imperial Intelligence and carried out orders from the Ubiqtorate at local levels.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The System Cell was introduced in the 2018 roleplaying supplement Dawn of Rebellion for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] System cells also existed in the Star Wars Legends continuity, being first mentioned in the 1989 Imperial Sourcebook, which was authored by Greg Gorden and published by West End Games. They performed a similar role of being the branch of Imperial Intelligence that were deployed to worlds.[2]
