The T-s8 targeting computer was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems for use aboard the company's TIE/ln space superiority starfighters.[1] The system was designed to chart a target's course and speed to allow pilots to fire ahead of what was aimed at. That was coupled with the weapons systems, which energized in microseconds to ensure that the target was hit.[2]
It was later outperformed by the T-s9a targeting computer,[1] and older models were refurbished with the newer computer.[2]
