Taika David Waititi (born August 16, 1975) is a New Zealand film director, screenwriter, and actor best known for the 2014 film What We Do in the Shadows[1] and the 2017 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thor: Ragnarok. He is slated to direct an episode of the live-action Star Wars television series The Mandalorian, created by fellow Marvel director Jon Favreau.[2]
