Tait Ransom was a Corellian smuggler who was the rival of Kaine Paulsen.
Biography
Tait Ransom left Socorro many years before the Battle of Endor, because he hoped to make a name for himself outside the shadow of Kaine Paulsen. He later rescued Drake Paulsen and his mentor, Karl Mathieu Ancher from the jail on Omman Minor, but he was arrested in the process and sent to Vizcarra. Drake and his companions managed to free Tait before he was carried off to prison.
